# Recommend a George Gershwin bio?

There are quite a few, and I’m wondering if a Doper has read one and can recommend it.

I watched _Rhapsody in Blue_ last night. Loved the music (and Oscar Levant), but after reading the Wiki article on Gershwin, I see that the only thing they got right was that Gershwin wrote lots of fine music and spent some time in Paris. I’d like to know more about this man.

And a question: How does an actor who doesn’t play piano manage to make the piano playing look so real? That was awesome.
