I would recommend ‘Red Storm Rising’, and don’t get me wrong, it was a GREAT read, but the ending grates on me.
No doubt Tom Clancy is a good author , I read all his books and if ur a TC fan , just go read Ice Station , Temple , Conetst and Area 7 all books by Matthew Reilly . They are a lot more fast paced than TC’s books whihc tend to dull in the middle and u begin to wonder why isnt the hell anyting happening!!!

Best-- no way. He was well on his decline at that point.
Red Storm Rising is the best Clancy by far. No annoying ass Jack Ryan, political mouthpiece for Clancy’s conservative worldviews. No eye rollingly implausible plot twists.
Just a solid book. Everything after Sum is even worse.
