With the exception of Michelle Yeoh, of course.

True, true. Well played.
My point stands, however wobbly it is.
And, for the record, Superman II is right up there. I’d actually any of the Superman’s are up there. II is notoriously doog though.

Well, I guess I could add **Idle Hands** , & second **Overboard** , as truly fun movies. But if “doog” implies some kind of fascinating failure, they don’t qualify. They’re meant to be that way.

On the other hand, I thought **Stargate** & **Striking Distance** were pretty \*good \*movies. Though maybe the latter has to grow on you.

Now, **Tango & Cash** , **Son-in-Law** , & **Strange Brew** –those are classics! Some of the greatest (cheesy) movies of all time!

> [@CalMeacham](#):
>
> Agreed – and the two \*\*Mummy \*\* movies, too. ( **The Scorpion King** isn’t in the same league of cheesiness, to my mind) These fit perfectlyu the category of awful but watchable, which is what “Doog” was defined as. That they were deliberately made that way (They were, weren’t they. Please don’t tell me they could’ve made movies this cheesy and not been aware of it) is irrelevant.

Point.

“Valley Girl”: like, ohmigod, great New Wave muzak and a very young Nicholas Cage.

Apparently Nicky has had some plastic surgery since 1983. He wasn’t very doog-looking in VG.

You want “doog”? I got your “doog” right here:[ul]
[li] **Reflections in a Golden Eye** –Brando as a repressed homosexual Army officer, Liz Taylor as his slutty wife, and Julie Harris as the next-door neighbor who cut off her nipples with garden shears in a fit of post-partum depression. Need I go on?[/li][li] **Mandingo** : Offensive on more levels than you can imagine, but I dare you to turn away once it gets going. A certified jaw-dropper![/li][/ul] Try these the next time you’re bored !

No votes yet for **The Horror of Party Beach**? Never mind the MST3K version, though it’s superb; this one is a hoot even without the robots.

**Modesty Blaise**. I enjoy the books and the original cartoon strip, but the movie is just a joke. If you like the Austin Powers movies, see this to better appreciate what they were making fun of. Keep looking past the people to catch the garish 60s art, furniture and tableware that clutter nearly every scene.

**Creature from the Haunted Sea**. Actually most of Roger Corman’s output could go in this category, but especially this one. About 15 minutes into it is the only car chase I’ve ever watched with my mouth hanging open; it is, literally, impossible to believe. Nor is any of the rest of it any better.

Oh definitely. Hugh Jackman has the most marvelous look of “something has gone terribly, terribly wrong here…” in every single scene.

Not exactly true, actually. The fourth one was used as a smoke outlet for the kitchen. In an overhead shot, you can see that it’s partially obstructed.

For a fourth time in this thread, I would like to commend **Van Helsing**. (I was about to post it before looking, but I’m glad i searched). Thoroughly terrible in most every way, contrived, way over the top, but, somehow, quite entertaining. In fact, I would even say that even though I flame the scenes as they are taking place on the screen in front of me, that I _enjoy_ watching this movie…it’s just good fun!

I saw that when it forst made the rounds of cable TV movie channels in the '70s. Loved it! And you are absolutely right, except that Stephen King really is a Rube (he played the same character in the original miniseries of The Stand, just as badly.)
I think that was the first time Romero and King worked together, something King had wanted to do since he first saw _Night Of The Living Dead._

Berry Gordy’s **The Last Dragon**.

Sho Nuff is probably the greatest “villian” of all time. “Kiss my Converse!” The soundtrack is also phenomenally doog, especially the one Vanity sings in the super-hip nightclub and the one at the end: “You’ve got to have the glow (the glow!)” In fact, why am I not watching this right now? Oh yes. It’s cause I’m at work. Bruce Leroy will have to wait until 5.
