I’m seriously thinking about getting a late model Acura TSX (like 2005). But am wondering if there is an American made sedan that is comparable/competitive?

The most important thing to me is that my car be reliable, will last at least seven to ten years, and be affordable (to me). IOW, no more than $22k.

Ford Fusion, Chevy Malibu, Saturn Aura. I’d check those three out.

Ford Fusion should be on your radar screen:

> The Ford Fusion is a mid-size car that was manufactured and marketed by the Ford Motor Company. From the 2006 through 2020 model years, two generations of the Fusion have been produced in gasoline, gas/electric hybrid, and gas/plug-in electric hybrid variants. The Fusion was manufactured at Ford's Hermosillo Stamping and Assembly plant in Sonora, Mexico, alongside the Lincoln MKZ, and formerly the Mercury Milan, both of which share its CD3 platform.

I would seriously consider buying this car, even though I have a predisposition toward Honda and Toyota (note: both slippled in quality…very minor, but a slight slip).

I have driven one, and actually like the styling much more than any Japanese offering. Feels better overall.

Modern cars can leg out 150,000 miles and seven years without blinking.

**Definitely see the “review” section in the Wiki link, as it summarizes alot of high profile reviews/rewards.**
