I’m asking because I can’t figure out how to do this on my iPhone’s default Health app.

I want to be able to say for example okay now I’m going for a walk, alert me when I’ve reached 2 miles.

I would prefer an app that’s not otherwise tracking me, selling my data, showing me ads. Or trying to sell me upgrades. I’m willing to pay upfront for an app with these features.

Any ideas?

[Runkeeper](https://runkeeper.com/index) will do what you are looking for. I don’t know anything about whether they sell data.

Runkeeper has in-app purchases, it looks like. I want something with no in-app purchases.

I have been happily using Runkeeper for years to do exactly what you want to do. I have purchased nothing, and barely notice the invitations to upgrade.

Good luck.

Okay, I’ll try it.
