Thanks so much. This is the first time I’ve started a thread (constant lurker, occasional poster) and I’m overwhelmed by the variety and thoughtfulness of the responses so far. I’ve got a lot to track down because I haven’t heard of many of the songs before. \*\* ArchiveGuy\*\* - I hadn’t even thought about jazz songs, but what a great idea. **gigi** - Good thing I hadn’t listened to “I’ll Love You Forever” in the early weeks after birth. \*Everything \*made me cry profusely then. **Kalhoun** - It’s a bit hard to tell so far, but I’ll definitely keep that in mind when she’s a bit older. \*\* Don’t Call Me Shirley\*\* - Thanks for the neat tip. I can make the footage look aged in Muvee. Now if I can just get her walking. . . 😉 ---

In fact, the 3 songs I mentioned can all be found, in terrific arrangements, on [this CD](http://www.amazon.com/Yes-Sir-Thats-Baby-Donaldson/dp/B000001HJQ/ref=sr_1_2/002-3026804-2712839?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1179449483&sr=8-2) (the whole compilation is great). Funny, I just made a slideshow of my daughter for her grandmothers on Mother’s Day. (ProShow Gold rocks). Two of the three songs I used were mentioned. Allison Kraus - Baby Mine (from Dumbo); Somewhere Over The Rainbow/It’s a Wonderful World by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole and Bob Dylan’s Forever Young. My next show will be more playful, and I plan to use Hakuna Matata, Who Let The Dogs Out, and Mahna Mahna (muppets) because she loves those songs. I’ll likely make use of Paul Simon’s Father & Daughter sometime too. Depending on what you’re doing, you could do Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes and show pictures showcasing those parts. Or, you could show bath shots and use Rubber Duckie. Dance, Baby, Dance by Chris Phillips is an entire CD of up-tempo instrumental dance-y versions of kids songs. And there’s always Amy Grant’s Baby Baby if you can’t find anything else 😉 ---

There are also some really beautiful “world music” lullabies out there. I borrowed a bunch from the library to burn CDs for my kids, so I don’t know any song titles, but the effect is gorgeous.
