Such as?
This was wonderful; thank you for recommending it. I’m going to have everyone download it and watch it on the flight to London.
Started watching on your recommendation and about halfway through this series. It’s amazing. Kind of embarrassed that I’m only catching it now. We’ve always been behind on TV series at my house, though. My wife and I tended to spend more time at used book stores (now Kindles or eBay used book shopping) than watching TV. We’re not homebodies by any means - we travel a lot - but our TV time is mostly spent on documentaries and such.
Saw these as a kid with my dad and enjoyed them immensely. Going to rewatch each at next opportunity.
Sorry I can’t reply to everyone; the response has been overwhelming but I’m making a detailed list. Will probably only get to watch a half dozen at most with my parents before we travel but will definitely continue to work my way through the list.
Of course, I had totally forgotten this one (shame on me). This will be #1, thanks!
Dad is a Tom Cruise fan so this will be great, thanks!
Any recommendations specific to Paris during the war?
ETA: Please forgive me if I missed a post on this already. Still playing catch up.
Is Paris Burning? (1966) - Resistance groups in Paris plan an uprising as the Allies approach, but Hitler wants to destroy the city if it looks like the Allies will take it.
With major differences from the book.
You can get replicas of the similar booklets issued at the time - and the one issued to British troops going to France in 1944.
