Recommend me an AudioBook please.

I read Anansi Boys and liked it a lot. I wish I had thought about it being in audiobook format.

A Neil Gaiman audiobook I did hear is two plays for voices. It’s actually two different plays, Snow Glass Apples and Murder Mysteries. The first is a “dark retelling of a familiar tale”. (I would tell you what tale but then there would be no surprise.) The second is a story about the first crime. (Really. The first one, ever.) They are only an hour each, but very good.

Another book I “read” is The Stupidest Angel by Christopher Moore. “A heartwarming tale of christmas terror.” This book is laugh out loud funny. I have bought and/or recommended it to just about everyone I know. I have to warn you, though, that this might not be age-appropriate for children or some Republicans. (sorry, can’t help myself.)

Those are out of print now, you’re lucky to have them!

I listened to the first few read by Frank Muller and he bugged the crap out of me at first. I find he over dramatizes simple dialogue and sort of makes everyone sound like Clint Eastwood. I know a lot of people adored him but I had to get used to his style.

I’ve heard Stephen King read other of his books like Bag of Bones and I love how he reads. He sounds just like he sounds when I read him in my head.

I like George Guidall in general but when he was doing Suzannah’s parts in the Dark Towers I wanted to jump out a window with embarassment. Her dialogue is sometimes kind of weird and hokey as it is and he just made me laugh every time he said “sugah.” Oh boy I’m cringing just remembering it.
