Thanks all for he suggestions, I can’t respond to all individually because I don’t want to prolong this thread with my own “Thank you’s”.

If you have any interest in baseball whatsoever, a tour of Wrigley Field is historically mind-blowing.
Or Elwood Blue’s place of abode.
Recommend Me Places to See in Chicago
What are “Me Places”?
Or maybe the OP title was a typo and you meant to write “Recommend to Me Places to See in Chicago”. I’m confused.
Art Institute and Wrigley Field are very good. Consider Buddy Guy’s or House of Blues. Check out the discount ticket places and see Blue Man Group or Book of Mormon if you haven’t. I saw an amazing Parlour magician but think it was a one off. Eat deep dish pizza and hot dogs with every topping but ketchup. Shedd Aquarium, Museum of Science and Industry, the waterfront area are pretty good. Check concert listings and see if the Blackhawks are playing.
A nice two-hour circle trip I recommend to visitors is to catch the Brown Line on the Loop Elevated and ride it to Belmont, enjoying your second-story view of the city. There transfer across the platform to the Red Line, continuing north to Berwyn (the station, not the suburb). At Berwyn, go downstairs and board the waiting 146 bus, which will run south along the lake shore (express for half the distance) and then along the Magnificent Mile, continuing on to State Street, and thence to the Museum Campus.
“Recommend” is sometimes used – at least in certain dialects – as a ditransitive verb, with such structures as “can you recommend me a book” which parallels more universal ditransitives like “give” as in “can you give me the book?” To my ears, the usage is completely unremarkable.
