Sun. Sept. 28th 9PM EST on PBS - The Blues. The Blues Feel Like Going Home 120 mins. Debut: Series executive producer Martin Scorsese follows musician Corey Harris as he links Mississippi Delta artists with African folk music in a life-affirming travelogue. Harris, an acclaimed acoustic-blues practitioner, is the ideal guide for this journey into the music’s past and future. In conversations with bluesman Taj Mahal and Mali folksinger Salif Keita, Harris examines the music as an outlet for pain and explores how it was adapted to express the suffering of Africans in America. “Every time I listen to American blues,” says Keita, “I think about slavery.” Director: Martin Scorsese Release Year: 2003 > **[TV Guide, TV Listings, Streaming Services, Entertainment News and Celebrity News](https://www.tvguide.com)** > > Find local TV listings, watch full episodes of your favorite TV Shows and read the latest breaking news on TV shows, celebrities and movies. ---

Fantastic list **rmbnxs**. Thanks for the ready resource. I’ve just started getting into country and folk type blues with Charlie Patton, Leadbelly and Blind Lemon Jefferson. Now I have a whole list of other music to seek. [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/recommend-me-some-blues/202856.md?page=1)
