The _Godfather_ collection and _The Usual Suspects_ (special edition) both have a nice set of featurettes to keep one occupied for hours. ---

I just posted this in the [DVD Commetaries](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=231659) thread. These are just a few of my favorite movies with commentaries. Almost all the films released by [Criterion](http://www.criterionco.com/asp/browse.asp) are full of extras. And a great selection of titles from really obscure to Armageddon ---

You mentioned that you liked Jackie Chan…my favorite movie of his is **Rumble in the Bronx**. I’ve even seen it at Best Buy for $10-$15. You seem to like intellectual dramas; try out the special editions of **Memento** and **Traffic**. Great movies with tons of extra features. And I give a second to **Alien Quadrillogy** and **LOTR Special Editions** ; both are definetly worth owning. ---

And I was not disappointed; the “making of” bit, the featurette, and best of all, the theatrical trailer for _The Banger Sisters_! When placed among all the Richard Linklater stuff, the _Banger Sisters_ trailer becomes indescribably hilarious. Thanks for all the recommendations, folks; keep 'em coming. And **vibrotronica** , I’d love to borrow both of those; I’ll be sure to pester you about them when I see you New Year’s Eve.
