I’m in the mood to read some. Some provisos: - I don’t want it ALL on one topic. I read that Sleeping Beauty series and it was nice, but damn, all they talked about was spanking. Spanking, spanking, spanking. It gets old after a while. The word doesn’t even look right after one book, much less three. - No real violence (threat of violence is OK, I don’t want any follow-through, no blood). - No poop or pee. - No animals involved anywhere. Please. - Male/female or male/male is good. Female/female should be kept to a minimum. - Erotica, please. Not just porn. I don’t want Hustler level writing. Girls on the Dope should know what I am talking about. 🙂 So - ideas? I am looking for novella-type stories, I want to be able to sit down and immerse myself in it. Oh, and no ROMANTIC LIT I hate that crap. I don’t want some stupid book that pussyfoots all around sex and then never gets to it. ---

Elegantly written, and frequently funny as hell. Or there’s always the great [Anais Nin](http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_b_0_5?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=anais+nin&sprefix=anais). _Deaths of Jocasta_, by J. M. Redmann, is basically lesbian porn masquerading as a detective novel. And after that you can move onto The Intersection of Law & Desire, which is virtually the same story except that the plot isn’t an excuse for the cunnilingus. ETA: :smack: I missed the qualifier about keeping female-female to a minimum. Sorry. ---

I hate lesbian porn. Utterly boring. Last time this thread came up, someone recommended Anais Nin then too. However, I couldn’t find any of her “highly recommended” books. I tried settling for some of her others, but did not like them. I’ll try again. ---

Sounds like what you’re looking for is [Black Lace Books](http://nt6744.vs.netbenefit.co.uk/) “the leading imprint of erotic fiction for women.” Amazon has the titles and I’ve also seen them in Borders stores, though not all. Black Lace is known for carefully ensuring that all the titles really are by women, which is not the case in their, ahem, sister line, Nexus, which is geared toward male fantasies. What are your feelings about comic-book erotica rather than literature? I could recommend Moore and Gibbie’s _Lost Girls_. There’s one G-G heavy story thread, but it’s interspersed with B-G and B-B action too. ---

I realize I’m just the peanut gallery here, but would it be too much to ask that all the recommendations get a brief summary or synopsis? Just posting a Amazon link is kinda lazy and not all that informative. Fighting Ignorance and all…and let’s face it, us pervs like to talk about the details! Have you found the Susie Bright books? I haven’t read book-in-hand erotica in years, but she used to have a series of short story compilations that ran the gamut in terms of gender matchups and kinks. ---

I will try these. One of my biggest problems is I don’t really buy books. I want to just borrow them from the library, but it looks like I have finally found a flaw in my library (I love my local library); they don’t seem to be severely lacking in erotica titles. ETA: Of course other people are welcome to request their own stuff. And yes, a summary would be just wonderful! ---
