I work in IT and I sit in front of a PC all day. We tend to have some downtime and so I am looking for something to fill that time.

I would like people to recommend good general news and tech news websites to read. I tend to surf around [CNN.com](http://CNN.com), BBC news and ESPN but I would like to broaden my reading horizons.

If anyone can recommend some good site where I can learn more about IT that too, that would be great.

Rick

The BBC is good to start with… but what about the [CBC](http://www.cbc.ca/) or the [Globe and Mail](http://www.theglobeandmail.com/) for variety? I also read the [Sydney Morning Herald](http://www.smh.com.au/).
