So I’m sitting there at work today, casually ignoring the glurge coming out of the radio (it’s set to the local “Jack” station AKA “We play random crap in hopes that you’ll switch to one of the satellite services we own.”) when _You Outta Know_ by Alanis Morressette (or however you spell her last name) comes on. I start singing along absent mindedly, and when the song cuts off, I realize, “Hey! I haven’t felt this good in _years!_” Obviously, I _need_ to be listening to real “wrath of God” music. 😃 Anybody got any suggestions? (BTW, I’ve already got almost of NIN releases, so that’s covered.) ---

Can’t go wrong with OLD Metallica… Kill 'em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, …and Justice for All If you want specific songs rather than albums I can give you some favorites. ---

Rammstein’s _Mutter_ CD is fantastic driving music (if you can get past the band shouting “Bang! Bang!” in one song…) Calla is very not-metal, but there are a few tracks on their latest CD, _Collisions_, that have a nice, low-boil seethe to them. Icon of Coil’s _Machines Are Us_ is pretty good, too. VNV Nation has come out with more than I can name right off the top of my head. More in about eight hours, when I’ve had some proper sleep. ---

_Abfacklen_ by Einsturzende Neubauten comes to mind, or most of the _Group Sex_ album by Circle Jerks. Hmmm, _Wild in the Streets_ had some good stuff on it too… _Murder the Disturbed_ always comes to mind when I think about the in-laws, ferinstance… ---

(They certainly seem quite displeased with the machine. Their debut is by far the best cd. Killing in the name is perhaps the epitomal angry song.)
