[QUOTE=KneadToKnow]
My plan is to install one of those removable hard drive tray kits ([example](http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1196207&CatId=285)) and have two drives, one to keep off-site for security and one to keep in the drive for incremental backup, then swap them regularly.

Those drive trays work ok and are faster than USB, but are less flexible; they won’t work on other PCs without opening them up.

I’m sorry, I submitted before I was actually done explaining my plan: the removable tray setup would go in my backup server, which all my other PCs back up to. My objective is solely to have a secure, easy-to-transport backup system. Flexibility is pretty low on my priority list.
