Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
That was going to be my suggestion, but according to the OP it’s ixnay on the artoonscay.
Cinderella Man is a really great movie that seems like it would fit the bill.
Love, Actually. Although it does include porn stars, there’s no actual sex going on. There’s also pre-sex making out, but again, no actual sex. It’s also got Hugh Grant.
God help me–I read this as “Sarah PALIN and Tall”!
Anyhow–if you haven’t seen WALL*E, you should get it. Really. It doesn’t count as a cartoon.
The Rocketeer: Bill Campbell with a jet pack dodging Nazis.
Forever Young: Mel Gibson as a test pilot in a forgotten project from 1939, until he’s revived over fifty years later.
Always: Richard Dreyfuss as the ghost of an aerial firefighter who is tasked with helping his replacement get used to the job. Remake of WWII move A Guy Named Joe.
Rustler’s Rhapsody: Tom Berenger as the hero and Andy Griffith as the villain in Hugh Wilson’s homage to singing cowboy movies.
Time Bandits: Monty Python does Science Fiction. Bit of a downer at the end, though.
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen: Monty Python does Fantasy.
Summer Rental: John Candy as a vacationing air traffic controller who tangles with a local rich asshole and challenges said asshole to a yacht race.
The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming.
An old movie, 1966, but really quite funny. Absolutely nothing objectionable at all.
I saw this with my family when I was a kid and thought it was funny. I saw it again many years later as an adult and still liked it.
The Court Jester. Really old movie with Danny Kayne, but I like it.
So tall she can see Russia from her house.
Figured I would forget something.
City Heat: Clint and Burt solving a murder in a Depression-era buddy movie.
Bugsy Malone: the all-kid gangster musical.
Mary Poppins is family friendly.
I’d recommend the Addams Family movies, too…pretty family friendly but really awesome for movies based on sixties sitcoms.

Maverick
That reminds me of The Right Stuff. No sex but a bit of (unseen) masturbation.
Sneakers is one of the few “family movies” that I’ve actually enjoyed. It’s rated PG-13, but it’s pretty darn tame, as I recall. I also second Princess Bride and The Incredibles (which should appeal even to people who don’t usually like animated movies).
Dutch, if she can overlook the foul language issue.

Quigley Down Under PG-13, Western-style violence and shooting.
Ladyhawke, also PG-13 for some sword-through-the-guts violence and possibly some brief and beautifully photographed shots of non-naughty bits of nudity like Michelle Pfeiffer’s flank and Rutger Hauer’s butt, if I remember right.
Labyrinth. I’m sure you know this one. Probably nothing objectionable for a kid over 6 or so as the goblins are mostly not scary at all.
The Cutting Edge sports romantic comedy, PG for, I think, language. Cute, a bit funny, decent chemistry between the actors, enough drama to keep it from being too lightweight.
Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken cute girl, horsies, female empowerment, G-rating.
Black Stallion, or one of the many iterations of Black Beauty. Indiana Jones, the first or third. Back to the Future.
Ever After, the sorta-Cinderella Drew Barrymore film.
Big Fish was darn good, and pretty kid-friendly while still dealing with serious issues at times.
Young Sherlock Holmes. Not a happy ending, but a good film.
Geez, all this stuff from the 80s and 90s. I haven’t watched many family-oriented films in a decade at least.
“The Secret Garden” (1993 version) and " A Little Princess" (1995 version)- beautifully filmed movies that everyone can enjoy.
“One, Two, Three” and “What’s Up Doc?” are two clean comedies that always raise a smile at my house.
“Fat guy in a little coat!” I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!
