Fascinating history of Joy of Cooking
The 1st edition may be out of print but the second edition is alive and well (check out Amazon)
I have The Food Lover’s Tiptionary, and have gotten a lot of valuable information out of it. It’s a great quick reference.
They have a newer version that I haven’t checked out yet.
All you people should go to Wikia.com and start a free online Food Encyclopedia. I’m sure it’ll be just as good, if not better than anything you find on the web
Huh, I think the latest edition of the Joy of Cooking isn’t too bad. I didn’t notice an anti-fat bias in my version (2007 or so).
