(think bag of nuts) The Hopoate incident is pretty sad because his team and coach had known for a month that he was doing this and had failed to discourage him. He’ll never play again. I doubt league can survive too many more stories like this. The sport is in deep trouble what with the Murdoch/ Packer debacle, the professionalisation of Union and of course the fact that the Victorian game of AFL is a far superior spectacle. ---

Women’s sport could benefit from this. A lot more men would be attracted to women’s basketball, for instance, if they could see something that’s usually only available on adult videos. ---

A girl I know said that the move is quite common among boys at her school while playing sports (btw, the school is in Melbourne). Only they called it a donut. 🙂
