The last couple days I’ve had this recurring dream about being in a buffet line at some really nice-looking restaurant with my Aunt Betty and best friend Amy. We get to this really delicious-looking chicken, but Amy always ends up with the last piece. Do Aunt Betty and I stand there and figure that a worker will come and bring some new chicken. But this strange lady wearing a kitchen crew outfit always emerges from a door telling us, “Sorry, the chef who made the chicken died. No more chicken.” and then I am always scraping a crumb of chicken off the tray, tasting it, and saying, “Well, at least their last chicken was tasty” and then the woman gets all offended and starts hitting me with a frying pan. This is around when I wake up. Phew! Talk about weird!! ---

I often have dreams with celebrities. It usually happens after I have seen said celebrity on TV, or a movie, or whatever. The dreams are bizarre, and random. And creative. I have NO IDEA what the hell they mean. The latest one: I cannot remember it all, but I swear I’m not making it up. I saw some otherworldly place, where supposedly some people are “sent” after death, or their spirits go, or something. This netherworld is a place where the soundtrack to “Ally McBeal” plays over and over, really loud. Alec Baldwin was there. I saw him staring up at me, wide-eyed. No, not making it up, I swear. I think Alec Baldwin was in the dream because I’ve been seeing lots of ads for that Magic Railroad movie. Have no idea what the Ally McBeal reference is from, though. I don’t watch the show, I don’t listen to the soundtrack. I don’t understand it. I guess I just have a warped mind. Don’t get me started on the dream with Jerry Lewis and the big pile of ice cream. ---

I’ve never had a problem reading in my dreams… Often, when I fall asleep reading, I’ll finish reading the book in my dream, although with a drasticly different plot, of course. Also, text never says the same thing twice if you look away. The only “magic powers” I ever have in my dreams are variations on flying, in most dreams, and occasionally the ability to pass through walls and other solid objects. If I’m in a fight in a dream, I generally win by being a martial arts master (I am a brown belt, but not too talented, and terribly out of practice). TroubleAgain, by any chance, do you ride a bike a lot? I’ve had that “hover-running” often, and I think that it comes from riding my bike: I’m moving my legs (sort of) like I’m running, but I’m moving smoothly and almost effortlessly, much faster than if I were actually running. Take away the bike, and you’ve got the dream-running. Definitely cool, though, whatever the cause. ---

Dead bodies…and work…but so far no dead bodies AT work. I’m either at work or trying to dispatch from my bed (being half awake and doing that sucks), or I am having dead decaying bodies dripping gross dead stuff on me…while being chased by bears…in a swamp…um, never mind LOL ---
