I hear you’re a biological father, but I doubt you’re much of a dad, so I’ll let you know it’s a pretty big fucking deal if your kids have to switch schools- especially if they had already switched the year before. I’m a (non-white, but also non-traditionally-discriminated-against minority) male with no kids. I wouldn’t have too much sympathy for myself if it happened to me; it’s not that hard for me to pull up stakes and find a new place to live. Wait. I’m Indian, where does that put me? Am I responsible for my obligations or do I think black people should be allowed anything they want? I did not realize she was a black woman until RR pointed out. I would also like him to point out where she wasn’t responsible. _(black women shouldn’t be held responsible for their decisions)_ She paid her rent. On time. In my renter’s contract, I have certain guidelines. I have a copy of the contract. I have read it. I follow it. Landlord should also be obligated to follow both the law and the contract. I don’t generally participate in RO threads. However I dont just see that one as an RO thread. I rent, as I mentioned in the other thread. I always pay attention to renting news and learn as much as I can. Lastly, if you don’t think that there is a difference in the distance to the finish line depending on what level you were born at, how much money your parents have, what color you are, and where you were born, you are sadly deluded. I am not complaining, mind you. I understand that’s reality. However to say “she should have KNOWN” is as naive as you can get, really. I said this in the other thread but RR you are out of touch with the real world. I think it was matt who had the best line in the other thread - some people are born on third base and spend ther whole lives thinking they batted a triple. ---
