What happened is that I took a shot at lawyers in general, Jodi took a shot at me in particular, I responded to her insult with a joke about bestiality and she left it. You and Rubystreak (and Kaylasdad) kept on keeping on after that, apparently feeling safe in hiding behind Jodi’s skirts, who had more sensibly than any of us, left and not come back. But I’ve never disputed that I’m an idiot. ---

Speaking of **Rand Rover** , on reconsideration, I should never have questioned his credentials in law. I am ignorant of the demands of _any_ degree in law or of the practice of law itself. I think his constant negative and critical comments (not to me, but to Dopers in general) set me off. That’s a reason, but not an excuse. My apologies to **Rand.** ---
