# red x

On some websites that I go to there are blank spaces with a red x in upper left corner. Please, tell me what this means. 😃

Sounds like there’s a java applet that’s not loading; do you have the latest sun java virtual machine loaded?

It could also be a picture that didn’t load due to a bad link or unsupported format. It’s basically a place holder telling you “Hey, the coding says something should be displayed here but I can’t load it for some reason”.

Right click over the blank space then select “show picture” from the menu, that sometimes works 🙂

Thanks for the replies to the post,just went and downed jav at sun site, will see if that is the answer.
