The trailer looks good… looking forward to the theatrical release. I hope fans don’t go against the movie since (IIRC) it’s not going to have Jay/SB. Ought to be interesting to see whose earnings streak holds up-- Kevin Smith movies hit around $30 million in US box office, and Seth Rogen movies (while being a little variable) have been ~$100 million. Not sure which end I’d prefer… Kevin deserves a big hit, but I do like the fact that he sticks to low-profile low-budget stuff. ---

I really, really dislike Kevin Smith movies, but I love Seth Rogen and this looks pretty funny. I’m sold. ---

An audience member asks about just such a possibility, and Kevin then relates in some detail a tale involving Jay, a girlfriend, and a video camera. (Might be Evening 2, can’t remember…) ---

Thank you for the link. I am a Kevin Smith fan boy. I’ve loved everything he has done except Jersey Girl. I am looking forward to this in October. I liked the joke with Mac. Justin Long was of course the costar of \*Live Free or Die Hard \*where Kevin Smith had one of his best performances as an actor. Justin Long is also of course the actor from the Mac commercials with with John Hodgman. ---

i’m excited. I tried to get tickets at Toronto Film Festival but I was shutout. For Kevin Smith’s sake I’d really love to see a movie he does without Jay and Silent Bob do well. ---

Seriously though, any “amateur” porn I’ve seen doesnt involve spoofing movies, or plots or such like. If Zack and Miri really were to try and break into the porn industry, they’d get further with some hardcore gonzo f’ed up shit starring local prostitutes than actually “auditioning” people, like its a legitimate movie. Eh? ---

Eh? It’s meant to be a parallel to Kevin Smith’s own film-making origins; he was an amateur who set out to make a pro theatrical release, not a student short or amateur vanity project. It’s not completely unrealistic, and allows him to write what he knows.
