# Redecorating Time: Any Art Deco Magazines Around?

I finally have permission from the “dona de casa” to redo our home. I love art deco, so I’m planning to do the living room in my best approximation of this style (ca. 1930).  
Are there any magazines around dedicated to Art Deco Style?  
I need some creative ideas, thanks!

I check out the style mags, just as a browser. Art Deco is just _not_ one of the popular styles right now. The Arts & Crafts look is hip for the cute little house–or the Frank Lloyd Wrightian big house. And Midcentury Modern is coming up fast. The Art Deco period came between. [Miami’s Art Deco](http://www.miamibeach411.com/news/index.php?/news/comments/southbeach-artdeco/) treasures were rescued, beginning in the 1970’s; mostly public buildings, you might find them inspirational. Deco enjoyed a comeback in the 1980’s.

Maybe it’s ready for another comeback! You could be a pioneer. “[Moderne](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streamline_Moderne)” is a good search term, too. (After all, you’ve got a [Moderne](http://www.technovelgy.com/graphics/content09/tele-motor-coasters.jpg) user name!)

[Modernism Magazine](http://www.modernismmagazine.com/) seems to mention Art Deco a bit. You need to sign in to read articles from back issues.
