If they’re 7-9 or worse, they’ll have a new coach next year. Hm, let’s see. They have very good WRs but a green QB and an inefficient OL to protect him. And their backup QBs aren’t very good, either. Could be a long season. 🙂 ---

It’s all fun and games until someone hurts his hand, like Ramsey did. Or gets otherwise hurted, like Pennington (Washington’s first opposing QB) and Vick (who would have been their second). ---

So, you’re gloating because Baltimore, who has 3 legitimate QBs, decided to start a rookie in a preseason game, against their weakest preseason opponent, in order to give him a baptism by fire, and the 'Skins first team took advantage of that? I suppose I’m not suprised, knowing that Washington fans aren’t going to have much to cheer about once the season starts, you’ve got to get your licks in where you can. The Ravens will still be playing in January, however, while your guys are playing golf, so enjoy for now. When the Jets show up in Raljohn, you’ll be singing a different tune. NY, Atlanta, NY part II, New England and Philly, man, you guys could easily be 0-5 by October. You might have a shot against the Falcons, but only because we went and knocked Vick out for you. With Vick in, you wouldn’t have a prayer. ---

Ravens fan checking in. While that game wasn’t exactly what Baltimore wanted, i’m not too worried yet about the season ahead. As **Weirddave** said, it was a rather experimental offensive line-up, trying out plays and combinations. I did think that their defense looked a little too flustered at times, however. More importantly, however, if you think that the result of that game is any indication of the season that Washington has in store, i suggest you remove the rose-colored glasses post-haste. ---

I think Ray Lewis, tho’ he made some mental mistakes last night, will calm the defense down once the real games start. McAlister could be a problem because he refuses to grow up. Ravens 10-6 for the year. Redskins will be lucky to win 6 with Spurrier and Synder running the team. IMHO. ---
