The whole thing could be solved by the addition of an “A.” The Washington **Readskins**! As in they have read (past tense) things on parchment, like the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights. I’m sure that was the intention all along. This was all just one big misunderstanding because of a spelling mistake. And the logo? Oh, ummm, I’m sure that man with the healthy tan had those feathers for writing quills. Yeah, that’s the ticket. ---

If they’re ever good again, they should be renamed after a legendary unit of their own team. The Washington Hogs. Why not? Easy to draw logo, definitely something you wouldn’t want to mess with, good for jokes when they lose. ---
