# Redundant prepositions

Would you agree that phrases like “outside of” or “in between” are redundant? The single prepositions “ouside” (“He lived outside Chicago”) or “between” (“She sat between Marie and Rebecca”) should be sufficient.

Yes. When I am copyediting, I routinely delete them.
