**Reeder** , I’ve bitten my tongue for so long I’m able to speak 4 different tongues at once. (Though my wife kinda likes it) In just the latest Pit thread you opened, you again confirmed my suspicions. In [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=291241) thread, you give a simple link with an 8 word OP. No rant, no follow up, no ideas of the story in whole. Just 8 words to get the party started. Like many of your Pits, it’s a vehicle to get other Dopers to argue points while you sit back and smile and jump in with a few lines here and there that really don’t add anything to what’s being discussed. Other than a few jabs towards Bush, I don’t see much of an argument about the Admins positions and yours and how they are diametrically different. In other forums, I actually enjoy some of your posts. In the one concerning inappropriate holiday movies, you were the forst to mention the perfect one in _Silent Night, Deadly Night_. And I was the first to say it was perfect for the discussion. But get to the Pit, and all bets are off. I can’t possibly slog through all your posts to find these, but you know damn well you have repeatedly said you’re neither a Republican nor Democrat. And I’ve called you on this before with no response. Every single political rant I’ve seen you open has been to bitch about the Republicans. Or as you say “repugs”. Not only have I never seen a Pit thread from you about the Dems, but I’ve never seen you come up with a pithy nickname for them. So what is it? Are you a Dem and too ashamed to say so? Or are you really against both parties? Dopering minds want to know! Where exactly do you stand so we know what viewpoint you’re taking? Hell, we have open Communists here. Just let us know where you’re coming from. I have the feeling you sit in front of 3 computers waiting for the latest feed from the Democratic Underground to come in to rant about it here. That’s fine. I’d just appreciate a rant every now and then instead of a link and “seed idea” to get everyone going instead of you. Thanks for your time. ---

I don’t know about **Reeder** ’s political leanings but I do know that I have seen posts where he refers to “repugs and dims”, so I had assumed he hated all politicians. ---

Geez…settle down son you’ll bust a blood vein if you aren’t careful. What I do in the pit is I rant my way. I am not as verbose as many of our esteemed dopers. I just post to get things out. I actually don’t really care if anyone responds to them as long as they are read. I have never said I was neither left or right. I’m about as far left as you can be and still see the center. I have upon occasion referred to the left side of the aisle as “dims” I mostly bash the right because that is where 99% of the bullshit comes from. It’s not so much that I support left leaning politicos but I don’t see them doing much that IMHO would hurt our country. I don’t believe our government as it is being run now from both sides has our countries best interests at heart. I will do my best to flesh out my rants from this point on. But do…please settle down.
