# Refugee question.

Without having to cross a land border, Europe is a two-mile raft ride from Turkey or a 40-mile trip from Libya. China and India are over 1000 miles away.

There are other reasons to choose Europe, of course. But the simplest is: they can get there.

IMO, the only honest choices are to accept all of them or none of them, as the current system is unfair, encourages people to take enormous risks and is unworkable. And since accepting all of them becomes impossible very quickly, that means accepting none of them. Which implies we need to find a way to help them that doesn’t include relocating to Europe.

At the end of the vid, he blamed the media for not alerting him a couple of years ago of the refugee crisis!
