I doubt I would be much help. I knew about the various credits, but I used an online program similar to TurboTax and it put them in automatically. I would guess that TurboTax did the same for you, it didn’t miss much of my credits and such when I was using it.
A few years back I got a check for the refund I was expecting(about $2000), but then a month later I got *another * check for about $2400. No letter, no explanation. I held off cashing it for a couple months in case there was some mistake and the IRS was going to show up at my door demanding it back, but nothing happened so I cashed it.
