# Regarding "heaven is for real"

Also, I will say, I had to read Embraced By the Light in 7th grade. I wasn’t impressed by heavenly tourism then, either. I think we can go ahead and pre-emptively mark all books of this type as lies. Wishful thinking if we want to be generous.

Don’t feel bad. The only reason I knew to check was because the retraction was on Reddit and whichever sub had posted it included a “Not the Heaven is for Real book” tag.

You know the best part of this story? The boy’s last name is **Malarkey**. How much more of a red flag do you need?
