# Regarding my 512MB SanDisk digital camera memory card

A local store gave away 2G cards for free, just for signing up for their mailing list.

The only place where brands seem to matter is that Olympus would restrict certain features on their cameras to only Olympus brand SD cards. You could get around that by writing creating a directory on the card but it was fairly well hidden. Otherwise that store clerk was blowing smoke.
