Remind Me Again How "Fake News" Is a Right Wing Problem?

How could these news agencies get things wrong? Don’t they verify the information BEFORE they publish whatever is the latest horseshit of day?

Isn’t that how they get things wrong “occasionally”? By not vetting their stories properly?

Perhaps if their viewers/readers/advocates demanded that the news agencies make ACCURACY their number one priority, instead of trying to be the first to “report” any version of a story that best increases a news agency revenue, there would be less fake news.

So you’re still having trouble with the difference between “being wrong based on early reports” and “making shit up.”

Okay.

Hahahaha. “Being wrong based on early reports!” Early reports which were not properly verified, but the LSM chose to use anyway. It looks like one of the LSM outlets beat the other LSM outlets in the race to be the first to publish another incorrect/fake/horseshit “news” story. :smack:

See again my comment about the field of astrology versus the field of physics. Physicists – like any scientists – often come to incorrect early conclusions, until better evidence makes them revisit their findings. The fact that they came out with incorrect early conclusions does not make them anywhere near the same as astrologers.

I apologize but I am not familiar with the acronym “LSM”

Apology accepted.

It’s a phrase often used by Sarah Palin fans – “lame stream media” – to mock news sources that are not conservative-leaning.

You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means

(underlined added)

Really? What do you think it means? Are you saying it doesn’t mean examining a record to see if it’s accurate? Are there any other parts of the Cambridge Dictionary definition you disagree with?

to study something, or to examine a person’s record to see that it is acceptable or accurate:

All agencies must carefully vet new workers.
