Verdict is still out for me. Hubby was able to get that week off, but by the time we had that nailed down, there were no vacancies at our timeshare. We’re keeping our eyes peeled for a good deal, but we may end up going later in the week…is anyone going for longer than just the weekend? ---

I cannot even put into words how much it hurts that I’m not a part of this excursion. Damn medical education! \ I will tell you carnivores that if you’re willing to plunk down the cash for a good meal, hit up the Samba Grill at the Mirage. It’ll cost around $50, but it’s worth every nickel. In fact, I don’t think I ever had a bad meal at the Mirage. (You’ll need to eat somewhere, if you’re staying at the IP.) Also, if you’re looking for a place to get drunk, get obnoxious, and play blackjack (and really, aren’t we all?) you can’t beat the Casino Royale, just down from the IP. There’s a $1 table right next to the bar (often crowded), and plenty of $3 action. Drinks come fast and strong. Be sure to ask the pit bosses to rate your $1 play and hassle them about comping you a Grand Slam breakfast at the Denny’s next door. Somebody split tens against a six for me. 🙂 Dr. J ---

Well, if this doesn’t get more people to go, I don’t know what will. zyada, our resident belly dancing expert has been recruited – er railroaded – into giving us belly dancing lessons at the Saturday night pizza and beer party!!! \< regardless if she wants to or not, giggle \> Belly dancing, pizza, beer and I guess a hot tub in my room in Vegas no doubt…this should be interesting. ---

You have Sunday and Monday to get in your reservations at the rate promised by the hotel all!!! Even if you are staying at other hotels or whatever, PLEASE let me know so I can ensure you are included in the gathering!!! If you pressure me, I will pressure the sales rep to hopefully give you at least until the 15th of August!!! Well okay a gentle reminder will suffice. Regardless, get off your asses and get in those reservations, email me at the above address and let me know that you are coming! Wow, techchick, that website actually frightens me somewhat, but I’m up for the challenge (i.e. not to disappoint). My roommate won a computer camera some time ago and would probably let me bring it to Vegas. Shall we set up a webcam for the pizza party a la our No. Cal friends? ---

Strainger, It is Vegas 😉 It goes off my typical set up for web sites but thought it was appropriate. I think a web cam would be cool for the pizza part-ee, assuming there are data ports. I am trying to get one from my client’s office. \< I think there should be one or two with us \> Sides if not I will just go out and buy a wimply one. ---

I talked to Padeye this weekend about my webcam idea and he volunteered to bring a camera. I’m guessing he’ll also bring a laptop, but I’ll let him confirm before I go volunteering him for everything. So far, I’m bringing a cooler and CDs for the good of the group. Do y’all have any other suggestions? ---
