As the thread implies, I managed to get some two part epoxy on my shirt. Its long dried, I’ve washed it, but nothing.

I’m pretty sure its a lost cause but I figured there’s no harm in asking.

(This is my second clothing related thread this afternoon…must be laundry day 😉 )

No. It’s poylmerized into the threads. You’re done.

Hot wax on the other hand, is a cinch!

Put a brown paper bag over the spot with the wax, iron it and poof! The wax is transferred to the paper, and your clothes are saved.

The only way I’ve ever gotten epoxy off of anything is to burn it off with a torch and lots of ventilation.

Somehow I don’t think that’s a good idea in your case.

I’m brainstorming here—maybe a carefully-wieled hobby blade can ameliorate things somewhat? Some sandpaper, perhaps?

Of course you’d never really be able to remove it completely, but you might be able to make it better?

Does _nothing_ dissolve epoxy, as well?

What if you put the shirt in the freezer long enough for the epoxy to freeze solid and get brittle enough to break off? I think maybe two to three hours would be enough. Hope that works.

[How can I remove epoxy?](http://www.duro.com/questions.asp?answerme=83#cat83)

Epoxy is considered a permanent adhesive. However, if you need to remove it, apply Easy-Off Oven Cleaner to the epoxy and let it sit for awhile. Eventually, the epoxy will soften and can be pried from the surface with a putty knife. Remember to test the oven cleaner on an inconspicuous area before applying over a large area.

No wonder my method of trying to remove wax with epoxy was always a failure. ☹
