Someone gave me a Maple Leafs jersey they found at a vintage store.

The number and name on the back are those shiny letters/numbers that I think are ironed/pressed on.

I’d like to remove them. I prefer to have my jersey be blank or have sewn-on names/numbers.

I did notice one was flaking a touch and was able to remove a small portion of one of the letters but it did leave some visible marks behind.

Is it possible to remove these? I’d even settle for…a _decent_ job.

Would I be wrong to presume that if I applied heat it may make the removal easier?
