This is a thread for those of us who appreciate the original Ren & Stimpy shows, not the newer ones with Nickelodeon at the creative controls. This is for those of us who love the Kilted Yaksman, The Obsession With Rubber Nipples, The extreme close-ups of boils and hair, etc. My personal favorite is in the episode when they’re becoming fire dogs. They knock on the door, and the fireman sticks his head out the door and yells: “ **I’VE HAD IT UP TO _HERE_ WITH YOU PEOPLE!** , Oh, I’m sorry. I thought you were circus midgets.” I love that. It’s perfect. Can’t you just picture the life of a fire chief who is constantly bothered by circus midgets? Wonderful. MarxBoy ---

By ‘new’ episodes, you mean the last season or two? (which was still a few years ago) or are there newer ones? Anyways, I loved Kilted Yaksmen, and Log always ruled! And the one where the go in the black hole, and find the missing left socks? Classic hilarity. ---

Space madness! I think my favorite episode was _Eat My Cookies_ where they became Barette Beret Girls though I’m normally not a fan of Rosie O’Donnell Thinking about the show makes me long for the feel of Gritty Kitty squishing between my toes. ---

I always liked it when they talked about their “round curvy bottoms” And the one about the missing stinky was good too. The ones about the hairballs was yuckily hilarious. ---

The kilted yaksman was CLASSIC - I still remember the episode where they explained how he came on something eve, and shaved in peoples sinks…and then the little children would wake up and scrape the dried up shaving cream and dance around as if it were Christmas. My favorite episode had to be when they were in space and Ren goes mad. He’s floating around in the bathtub talking to a bar of soap, except he keeps refering to it as his “candy bar.” He sweet talks it for like, 5 minutes and finally bites into it with great exaggeration. Stimpy comes over, frightened, and says “Ren…you–you’re talkin crazy talk!” Ren proceeds to back into a corner and threaten to brush his teeth. HILARIOUS!! 😃 Oh yes…and the history eraser button episode. Stimpy is put in charge of guarding the highly-feared “history eraser button” This huge announcer antagonizes him til he breaks down. WILL he press the button!!! The pretty CANDY-LIKE button!!! WILL he resist!!! CAN he resist!!! “NO I CAN’T!!!” 😃 GREAT cartoon!!! P.S. Sexywriter…The line where you had “something something something” should be “It’s log, log, log” ---

I made the mistake of turning on _Ren & Stimpy_ when my daughter was around one day. Within a few minutes, my delightful, charming, beautiful then-three-year-old girl child was calling the cat a “sick little monkey.” Oy. Mama forgot that a) _R&S_ isn’t a kids’ show, and b) the girl is part parrot. So now I can’t watch that show anymore. I sure did love it BC\*, though! [sub]\*=before children ---

I have the Powdered Toast Man vs. Spiderman comic book, as well as the first 20 or so Ren and Stimpy comics (including two copies with the original Air Foulers™ in the poly-bags). Ren and Stimpy is amazing. ---

I just went to Amazon to see what they could do for me in the way of a Ren & Stimpy video or DVD set of the first 2 seasons and was horrified to see that there is only one Ren & Stimpy video for sale, the Christmas one. Those stupid leetle monkeys! Let us bury the Nickelodeon execs up to their necks in Gritty Kitty and demand that they release these for us in exchange for their lives.
