# Reommend A Chess App For iPhone

I played chess when I was a kid, and would like to find a chess app for the iPhone/ iPod Touch that is appropriate for a beginner. t Chess Pro was recommended in many websites when I googled “chess app” but I think the the dope is probably the best place for advice, experiences, and recommendations. Thanks!

I’ve been really happy with Deep Green. It’s a 1 player vs the phone version, so if you’re looking for matches against others it’s not for you. But if you just want to play, there’s not a better one out there that I’ve found.

I would try “Chess with Friends”. That one is available free and works great for playing games with anyone who has the app. Their scrabble knock-off “Words” is a lot of fun, too.
