I don’t think Santos’ prior track record gives me any reason to accept _this_ apology as being genuine. I _might_ have been slightly more forgiving if part of his apology had mentioned about working to earn money (not donations) to of his own free well to pay back the state and individuals he defrauded. ---

Yes to all you said. Criminal trump made a very big example of Santos. And not in the usual way. What trump said loud and clear was > All loyalists are above the law. King trump will protect all loyalists, no matter how scurvy, and will throw all non-loyalists to the dogs. Any prosecutor anywhere thinking of prosecuting a loyalist should stop now; even if you win, it’ll be pointless as king trump overturns your work at a glance. > > Beyond that, everyone everywhere should decide which side they’re on: loyalist, or soon-to-be-unpardonable-criminal. ---

One of the Jan 6th traitors was being sentenced after Trump won and the judge asked him if he had anything to say before sentencing. He said something like, “whatever. Trump is going to pardon me in a few weeks,” ---
