It would be better to overcome primitive traits in one’s DNA by recognizing the more advanced side. You have to focus with a certain intention on your humanoid interior until you find that side. It’s reported to give a tremendous feeling.

Compare it to a human being, who has less reptilian DNA, but more simian DNA. A human may have almost 99 % DNA of that of a chimpansee (eg. as a result his body has a lot of hair), but should he behave accordingly?

The same goes for a reptilian, who is more than the 1 or 2 % of DNA that comes from a reptilian animal.

And also, if you think about it, maybe atoms are really just tiny little solar systems, so we are actually made up of galaxies of billions of planets. Wow man. Pass the bong.

You mean like the part of my DNA that’s responsible for synthesizing hemoglobin? That’s pretty primitive.

But I LIKE oxygen transport! It’s one of my favorite parts of my metabolism!

No no. He’s making a lot of sense. In fact, just yesterday as I was sunning myself on a rock and munching on some very tasty horseflies with a side of crickets, I said to myself, “If only I could sweat like a chimpanzee, I wouldn’t have to excrete salt out of my nasal glands anymore.”

This is the only question mark in the OP, so I’ll guess it’s the point for debate. DNA doesn’t do “should.” It just does what it does.

There is a race of reptilian aliens living in the center of the Earth. We all have some of their DNA, but some have more than others. Those who have the most tend to be those in power, such as the royal family of the UK and the Bush family. They are all member of the Illuminati, and are working in concert with the gray aliens of Alpha Centauri to make regular humans their slaves. This plan will come to fruition on December 21, 2012.

Now, **SupN** , quit camping on that bong and pass it over here, man.

Also, most of the US Senate. When they age, sometimes, their Reptilian DNA gets more prominent. Just look at Lieberman and McCain\*.

\*Or, as he’s known in the clubs M.C. Cane, because he’s so old he needs one to get around.

I totally agree with the OP. Every morning, when I get up, I taunt my reptilian DNA and watch my monkey DNA beat the sutffing out of it. I then yell “Who’s primitive NOW, bitch ?!” at the top of my voice, eat a white mouse whole, and go on with my day.

I’m going to throw my feces at whoever I want to, thank you very much.

And, btw, everybody has 99% o the same DNA as that of a chimp, whether their body has lots of hair or not very much at all.

Humans share 99% of DNA with chimpanzees, so as a result our bodies are hairy?

I could have sworn there were more points of similarity than that. Damn this new taxonomy.

So presumably all the other traits that aren’t for hair are coded into the remaining 1%. I had no idea hair was so important to the genome.

When guys go bald, does that mean they are losing their chimp DNA? Or are they gaining reptile DNA? Or both? For that matter, is my aging scalp pelage slowly gaining genes from the gray wolf or the gray squirrel?

This is a serious problem. I propose a massive eugenics program to instill humans with the ability to swing on a star, and carry moonbeams home in a jar.

Haven’t you noticed that men growing bald get cranky about it ? That’s the reptilian DNA growing. Sadly, it never gains enough of a foothold that scales replace the lost hair. Curse that monkey DNA holding it back !
