The amusing part is that the kneejerk apologists in this thread are missing – or willfully ignoring, which is more likely – the fact that not only did this Hayes putz say something ‘stupid’ (and by ‘stupid’ I mean ‘hateful and divisive’, aka ‘Republican talking point _du jour_’), but when called on it, he and his spokesthing _lied_ about what he’d said only two days ago in front of a crowd of thousands, and then had the gall to insult the journalists who accurately reported his comments. It was only when the audio was produced and published that Hayes finally was forced to come clean. And then he tries to use the amnesia defense! “Gee whiz I’m sorry, I just don’t remember saying that.” Psychotic defendants everywhere should be nodding in appreciative recognition of a kindred spirit. These fuckers can’t even own their own bigotry.
