I didn’t watch it, I can’t take that much stupid all at once. But I’m watching the MSNBC autopsy. They’re airing the “best” bits in tolerable segments. I haven’t see much of him so far, but Ramaswamy looks like he should be sitting on someone’s lap with a hand stuck up his back. A Trump mini-me. Pence and Haley come off as the most prepared. Christie seems pretty lackluster. Surprisingly (/s), DeSantis is unlikable. ---

I watched a few minutes of it. A debate, it was not. The mods asked them, by a show of hands, who believes in man-made climate change. No one raised their hands, they _immediately_ began talking over each other and by the end of it not only did no one give a yes or no answer, most of them didn’t even address the actual question. They were _clearly_ just rattling off a memorized talking point. Someone (Christie?) compared Vivek Ramaswamy to [paraphrasing] “another skinny guy with a funny sounding last name, Obama”. Assuming I interpreted that correctly as thinly veiled racisim, he quickly doubled down on it. I honestly don’t understand why they even bother with these, Right and Left alike. No one’s debating anything. ---

I don’t think anyone had the stomach (or the desire to support fox) by actually watching along. So we’ll probably have a lot more feedback tomorrow when everyone can/will see the “greatest hits” version. My takeaway from the clips and soundbites is that, as expected, all of those… individuals… are evil to a greater or lesser extent. That the support of Trump was much more muted than I expected. That DeSantis was dull, Christie was _comparatively_ charming (not saying much that), and Pence more active than expected. And while I still would pick Christie if my wife was held hostage and I was forced to vote for one of these folks, that none of them are safe for the future of this country. ---
