If you are an independent or identify with another party, press 3.” ```auto All Democratic Republican Independent Appropriate 22% 8% 41% 20% Inappropriate 69% 85% 48% 70% Not sure 9% 7% 11% 10% ``` The real villains here are the people who are, “Not sure.” ---

I mean, “members of the media” could either mean LSM or _actual_ legitimate news sources. They can’t answer in good conscience without knowing this detail. ---

If Trump had applauded the attack on the Guardian reporter while standing in some state other than Montana, I’d say it was a clear case of his wanting to signal ‘I approve of what the Saudis did to Khashoggi; it’s open season on journalists and I fully approve of any and all violence against them.’ But he was in Montana, surrounded by people who (in all likelihood) had voted for the guy who attacked the reporter. So that probably had something to do with the remarks–rather than being a pure expression of pro-MBS sentiment. ---
