In (limited) defense of Montana we had a HUGE turnout for the protest on Saturday–2-3000 people if not more just in Bozeman. I was surprised that quite a few truckers driving by honked and gave a thumbs up! ---

Erm…hate to rain on your parade, but that video is two months old. [More recently](https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/supreme-court-allows-trump-implement-transgender-military-service/story?id=121528698), the Supreme Court overturned the injunction without comment, meaning that the ban [is going ahead](https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/may/08/trump-pentagon-trans-military-ban) while the lawsuits to stop it are ongoing. ---

I apologize for not reading the whole thread. I was hoping for simple answers to a couple of questions re: trans athletes in high school and college. Are there any commonly accepted “standards” as to what qualifies a trans individual to compete in women’s sport? Personally, I do not care anything about sport, and do not care who competes in which categories. I’m not questioning any individuals gender identification. I just was unclear as to whether some athletes described as trans might be fully biologically male, and others might have undergone hormone and surgical therapy. Am I correct in assuming that a news article referring to a trans woman might be referring to an individual who has high testosterone and a penis, or has a penis but is on horomone therapy, or they have been on hormone therapy AND have undergone gender reassignment surgery? ---

Apologies to both of you - and al others in this thread. Whether you accept this or not, in no way did I intend to troll this thread. And I do not know - or care to know - what you mean by “transparent JAQing off.” I thought if this is where folk most interested in trans issues were currently posting, this would be a good place to obtain a straightforward answer to a limited factual question. When I read something in my local paper, I do not know exactly what they are referring to. I was maing an effort to dispel my personal ignorance I suppose I also thought that the current news items about trans participation in sport was somewhat related to current R efforts (which I pretty much abhor across the board.) Minor minor aside - if you wish to have much impact on folk who are not currently true believers in your cause, you might wish to entertain the remotest possibility that a sincere question is exactly that. OTOH, if you wish to turn of folk who might be sympathetic to your interests… ---
