Are there any Republicans who support Co-Ops for health care?

I might if I knew what exactly that would mean. I mean, how would it be implemented?

One news article that might be a start:

>
> Now in mix, insurance co-op option questioned

Currently, the most well known coop is “Group Health” out of Seattle, which is being touted by some as an example.

> [@](#):
>
> The government encouraged health co-ops in the 1930s and '40s, before the nation’s largest corporations had fully established the concept of employer-provided insurance. Group Health survives, along with HealthPartners in Minneapolis.
>
> Those co-ops now, though, most closely resemble the nonprofit Kaiser Permanente plans around the nation.

Mention of Kaiser is probably NOT the way to sell such a plan in CA.
