# Request for those using the spoiler tag

Please say exactly what it is that you’re spoilering, in normal text, before the tag. It doesn’t help when you put your spoiler into a spoiler tag, when I still have to highlight the dang thing to find out what movie/TV show you’re spoilering.

Examples (contains a REAL SPOILER for Star Wars: A New Hope):

BAD:

Darth Vader is Luke’s dad!

GOOD:

Star Wars Episode IV spoiler:

Darth Vader is Luke’s dad!

I thank you all for your time. That is all.

Actually I think that’s an Empire Strikes Back spoiler; my bad. (Thought I’d just point that out before somebody else comes along and does it for me.)
