However, if I were so inclined, I don’t see why one wouldn’t attempt to Google one of the several single-line posts (much as I did with the cited **Czarcasm** thread), especially considering they looked suspiciously like quotes, or at the least, references to something I don’t understand. If you’re not inclined to Google it, then try ignoring it. It will potentially only enhance your message board experience. ---

Oh gosh- I am agreeing with **Czarcasm** and\*\* Buckety Buck\*\* in one post? As a saving grace I am disagreeing with **Red Arsehatter.** Thread titles are supposed to be explanatory. Why should I have to google something to find out it is a cute inside joke. I don’t care if you quote every second line from Dr Who, but title it as such, or at least a title as “Challenge: Join me in this take off…” ---

Missed the edit window: Also, **Czarcasm** , none of these threads, started by you, have very descriptive titles: [Baby, it’s cold inside!](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=607931) - a thread asking about favorite Dairy Queen Blizzard flavors. [Where am I?](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=614405) - a thread asking about a software application for longitude and latitude. [Smell you later](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=628623) - a thread asking people to talk about memorable scents. Sure, once you’ve opened the thread and seen what it’s about, the title makes some sense, but in none of these cases would a reader know what the thread subject was without actually opening it. ---
