You’re welcome. 🆒 I can also recommend “Brazil Classics 2: O Samba”, “Brazil Classics 3: Forro etc.” (which is my personal favourite right now, because my wife is from Northern Brazil, and Forro just sounds so different from what most people expect Brazilian music to be), and “Beleza Tropical 2: Novo! Mais! Melhor!”. All are from David Byrne’s (of Talking Heads fame) own label [Luaka Bop](http://www.luakabop.com/cmp/index_banner.php3) .

Ok, make it five.

**Joan Armatrading** - _Joan Armatrading_

Yes, yes indeed; plus,

**Seal** - _Seal_
**Songs of a New Depression** - _Bette Miller_
**Rooms in My Father’s House** - _Vinx_
**The Singles** - - _The Carpenters_ (I’m a black male, but my inner, teenaged white girl was trying to get out, okay. Karen’s voice had an ethereal quality that got me through some really bad times.)

_Note:_ **Gossip** - Paul Kelly and the Coloured Girls: never heard of it but love the name of the band.
