Requiring kindergardeners to share things is now apparently a "socialist" idea

I’m not sure what you are trying to prove with this link, especially since it has nothing to do with taxes. It shows that the top 400 rich people in the US have gotten richer and that the median family income has barely changed. Which would tend to support my position that the middle class is fading away, since costs are rising but income isn’t keeping pace.

Actually, reading this, I’m thinking you copied the same link twice, since the first one has zero to do with housing prices. OTOH, it did contain this, which supports my view -

"One of two things happen when the majority of a country goes through a sustained period of wage stagnation. Either political unrest reaches destabilizing levels or we mask the trend by amassing enormous amounts of debt so that people can spend more and have more services even as they’re making less and the government is getting less in revenue. The outcome of that latter approach, of course, is a debt bubble, and we’re enduring the aftermath of one of those right now.

So much as there’s been real energy devoted to averting total financial collapse and mitigating the recession, there’s really not been that much energy left over for figuring out how to rebuild an economy that shares its gains. Quite the opposite, in fact. Wall Street and high-end industries are either rebounding or were never hit very badly, while middle-class workers are still in terrible straits." (bolding mine)

This graph all by itself tells me nothing. It seems to indicate that women get paid less than men for the same work, no surprise, but I’m not sure since the figures are so tiny.

This also doesn’t mean much all by itself, especially so small that it is difficult to read. But I think it is indicating a stagnation of low and middle wage workers, which again would tend to support my views.

Oh please. Just because I have different views that you do doesn’t mean I don’t think. This is particularly ironic when you provide cites that seem to have nothing to do with what I was talking about!

Really, just throwing cites at me with no comment other than more insults does zero for any discussion, or my understanding of why you (apparently) think the middle class is alive and healthy.

Naw, he is just upset that he wasn’t the last one to post in this thread - any time Idle Thoughts posts in a thread, he has to be the last one. Kind of an odd power trip, but it seems harmless. :stuck_out_tongue:
