“Are they supposed to be me? My people are not a costume.” “Welcome to _my_ life.” I really liked the irony that the all the anti-alien speakers are absolutely right (the non-fake ones), and the warning that Asta got about “her” alien being Christopher Columbus is spot on. ---

BTW, don’t know why I had been thinking last night’s ep was the finale; I’m glad to have been mistaken about that. But they certainly did seem to wrap up a lot of story-lines: Sam’s murder; the estrangement between the sheriff and deputy; and Jay’s disdain for her birth mother, which was shaken by her learning how much danger Asta had actually been in. Plus we got a heck of a cliffhanger, which may or may not be resolved in next week’s finale: D’Arcy probably believes that it’s the Harry she knows who’s in that freezer, given that we’d just seen her participating in a conversation about how both Harry and Asta could be dead at that moment. (They’d ditched her at the clinic after they all got down off the glacier, so that Harry’s secret could be kept from her.) But obviously when she learns that the Harry she knows is alive and well … Looks as though movement on the People in Clothes plot will take center stage next week, now that some of the other plot threads have been addressed. ---

I teared up twice and I didn’t think it was going to be that kind of show. Once when Terry said don’t take the thing out, I want to see my baby and once with the “proposal” with the sheriff’s star. Really excellent episode. ---

It would be surprising if someone presented as ‘nice’ turned out to be an agent of aliens (thus making it an attractive choice for the show’s writers). It would be less surprising for the murder-prone female agent to be an alien-ally, as SCAdian suggested—but as simster noted, we were told the child taken was male. An interesting choice would have been the human Harry, but of course he’s (it would appear) over 30. ---
